i think it still applies. helps keep things "organized" so to speak. it's definitely more of a traditional TV term, but i think it works with new media too. also, good to use for marketing when/if series goes to DVD.

It makes sence that you would still use the term season for organizational purposes. A season after all, is something within itself. Usually containing similar subject matter and what not.
